Francisco Ferreira

Born in Montreux, Switzerland, he lives and works in Lisbon. He has a degree in sound and image from Caldas da Rainha School of Arts and Design. He did a degree in Radio Film and Television at İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi. In 2012 he was chosen to be the University Jury at the DocLisboa International Film Festival. He was a guest artist at the 2nd edition of the Grundstein Festival in Vienna, Austria. He won the ICA (Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual) short film support award. He was a volunteer teacher of cinema and photography at the Mavi Kalem institution (Istanbul). He did an internship at Terratreme Filmes. He subsequently worked for the same production company as a assistant director on Leonor Noivo’s Setembro and as an editor on Pedro Pinho’s A Fábrica. He focuses his professional career on cinema but is constantly developing projects in the field of Fine Arts.
