Marcela Said Cares was born in 1972 in Santiago, Chile. In 2013, her first feature-film “The summer of flying fish” was premiered at the Director’s Fortnight. In 2014, she is a resident director at the Cinéfondation, and at the Sundance Screenwriter Lab, wrote her second feature-film, « Los Perros ».
