Luísa Homem

She studied Communication Sciences, with a focus on Cinema, at FCSH-UNL, Paris 8, and Atelier Varan). She has been working in film since 2000 as both a director and an editor. She directed four films for the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation: PINTURA S/ TÍTULO, SHORT STORY, PERCURSOS VISUAIS and RETRATOS. She directed UM DIA NO MUSEU, a TV series about Art Museums in Portugal. Recently she co-directed two documentaries: AS CIDADES E AS TROCAS (with Pedro Pinho) and SÃO TOMÉ: ON THE TRACK OF THE NATURALISTS (with Tiago Hespanha). As a film editor she has worked with several Portuguese directors. She is a partner at TERRATREME Filmes, and a co-director and teacher at the Cinema/Image and Movement course at Ar.Co in Lisbon.
