Luisa Homem

Born in 1978. Luisa Homem is a director, editor and founding member of the production company Terratreme Filmes. She holds a degree in Communication Sciences – Cinema, from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, at Nova University, Lisbon, and University 8, Paris. She participated in the Ateliers Varan documentary direction course, in the Program of Creativity and Artistic Creation run by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. She directed arthouse films at the FCSH Cinematographic Creation Laboratory, diverse institutional films, as well as directing the 13-episode television series UM DIA NO MUSEU about Art Museums in Portugal. She co-directed the documentaries AS CIDADES E AS TROCAS with Pedro Pinho and SÃO TOMÉ: NO TRILHO DOS NATURALISTAS with Tiago Hespanha. Luisa recently directed SUZANNE DAVEAU, a film that follows the life and work of Suzanne herself. Luisa collaborated in writing the screenplay for A FÁBRICA DE NADA (THE NOTHING FACTORY) and also as artistic director and collaborator in the editing of the film directed by Pedro Pinho. As editor she collaborated diverse directors such as João Vladimiro, Inês Sapeta Dias, Leonor Noivo, Filipa Reis, João Miller Guerra, Frederico Lobo, Pedro Pinho, Tiago Hespanha, Leonor Teles, amongst others. Luisa is currently developing the screenplay for her first feature film, ASSIM VIVEMOS and a project for a new 12 episodes television serie ATLAS – IMAGENS PRIVADAS DO SÉCULO XX with Inês Sapeta Dias.
