My main practice is as a visual artist. I am interested in the relations between spaces, places, architectures, and their uses and experiences that defy production-driven logics.
Since 2005 I have exhibited my work in places such as Elba Benitez en
Kvadrat, Madrid ; Sesc Pinheiros, São Paulo; Villa Iris, Fundación Botín,
Santander; Haus der Photographie, Hamburgo; Fundação Edp - Museu
da Electricidade, Lisbon; Centre de Cultura SaNostra, Palma de Mallorca;
Fundação Gulbenkian, Lisbon; Casa de Serralves – Fundação de Serralves,
Porto; La Casa Encendida, Madrid.
In recent years I was awarded grants from Fundación “La Caixa”, Fundação
Calouste Gulbenkian, Generalitat da Catalunya and Ayuntamiento de
Barcelona, among others.
I also organize public programming activities, in places such as the MACBA
(Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona) , the MAAT ( Museum of Art,
Architecture and Technology) and TBA, the Bairro Alto Theatre in Lisbon.
In 2017 I attended the MACBA Independent Studies Programme, and I am
currently a resident at la Escocesa, Open Factory for Analog Creation , in
Barcelona. I share my time between Lisbon and Barcelona. “The time of
things” is my second film as a director, after “Field Notes”, 2017.
